Responsibilities
This newly created position will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the company. Working closely with the Project Managers and VP of Product Development you will contribute to building a world-class product development department. Specific responsibilities include:
• Develop solid models and engineering drawings for new product concepts.
• Create and maintain 3-D CAD Models and Assemblies using SolidWorks and work with overseas Engineering staff on design for manufacturability.
• Design parts in a variety of materials and processes including injection molded, blow-molded and roto-molded plastics, metal fabrication and assemblies, fabric construction and wood components.
• Create prototype parts of CAD models using rapid prototyping technologies and traditional model making techniques.
• Design complicated mechanical assemblies including components, mates, constraints and part interactions.

• B.S. Mechanical Engineering preferred, will consider Associate’s degree in related field
• 2 + years of work experience using Solidworks to create unique solutions to mechanical challenges
• Experience designing parts for a variety of manufacturing processes (injection molded, blow-molded and roto-molded plastics, metal fabrication and assemblies, fabric construction and wood components)
• Candidate must be an effective problem solver and able to effectively communicate designs to Product Development team.
