Requirements: Analyzes, evaluates, and plans method of approach and organizes means to achieve the solution of problems. Establishes and defines the theoretical bases and principles which should apply to the project or development of product, the empirical test procedures to be used, and the estimated time, money and manpower for completion of the project.
Conducts investigations or tests of considerable complexity pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials, or processes. Investigates possible application of results; designs or develops test equipment.
Interprets test data and results of investigations to develop appropriate recommendations.
Investigates literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
Recommends necessary corrections in technical analyses and designs to ensure successful project completion.
Provides technical direction and coordinates activities of engineers, technicians and support personnel assigned to projects. Reviews project progress and evaluates results.
Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide or build required services, supplies or equipment. Selects vendors most qualified to meet technical project requirements and purchases required supplies, equipment or services.
Provides technical consultation to technical staff and production organizations concerning technical problems in area of specialty. Provides principal technical guidance and leadership in the completion of assigned projects.
Qualifications
Required- Masters of Science degree in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
Minimum of 3 years experience with emphasis in advanced engineering or scientific research/discipline.
Preferred:
PhD in Science Discipline
Five to seven years of experience with emphasis in advanced engineering or scientific research and development.
Previous exposure to gas sensors such as O2, CO2 and multi-gas, as well as flow dynamics required.
This is a direct full time employment opportunity. Our client offers offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including 401K and tuition reimbursement. Local Southern California candidates preferred (a relocation package is not being offered at this time). US Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
